Andreas Østhagen is a Senior Fellow at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI), a Senior Fellow at The Arctic Institute and an Advisor at the High North Center for Business and Governance at Nord University.

This book is about how coast guards are becoming states’ foremost tool to manage changes occurring in ocean politics generally, and in the Arctic specifically.
