Nancie L. Gonzalez is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she is also an Associate of the Center for International Development and Conflict Management. She has worked among various ethnic groups in Central America, including Cakchiqueles, Garifuna, Ladinos, and, most recently, Palestinians.
