Recenzii
"The construction sector is infamous for high levels of injuries, accidents and fatalities, and poor health and wellbeing of its workforce. While this record appears worldwide, the situation is worse in developing countries and there is an urgent need for improvement. This edited volume of some 39 contributors explains the current understanding of construciton health and safety in developing countries by exploring context-specific issues and challenges that have hitherto not been well explored in the literature. Coverage includes countries from the regions of sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe" - Jacky Steemson, The RoSPA OS&H Journal
Descriere
There is an urgent need for information and knowledge to curtail construction work incidents in developing countries. This book presents the first compendium of credible research into the issues.
