The concept of corporate citizenship is highly dynamic and still in the process of evolution, therefore, there is no single and universally accepted definition of corporate citizenship. The concepts of corporate citizenship and social responsibility are defined broadly and often used interchangeably. In the common parlance corporate citizenship is understood as 'responsibility of business' towards its stakeholders that extends beyond its legal and enforceable obligations.
