Recenzii
"Lynn Hall has done it again! When Counseling Military Families was published, many of us considered it to be the definitive guide for conducting therapy with military families in the early 21st century. With the release of the updated edition, I am certain that this book will remain the benchmark for clinical work with military families for the decade to come!"
R. Blaine Everson, PhD, LMFT, coeditor of Families Under Fire: Systemic Therapy with Military Families
"Military families have endured multiple and long deployments of their loved ones since 2002. This book discusses the culture, stressors, stress reactions, and best practices for the assessment and treatment of military families. I recommend it to anyone who wants to help these families effectively."
Charles R. Figley, PhD, Paul Henry Kurzweg, MD, Distinguished Chair in Disaster Mental Health at Tulane University
"Lynn Hall has written a definitive volume on the lives and struggles faced by our military families. Her sensitivity to the needs of families and her extensive knowledge and understanding of the military combine to make this a must-have volume."
Joan Beder, DSW, professor, Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University
"In Counseling Military Families, Lynn Hall does a great service to families and the mental health professionals who serve them. Dr. Hall provides an extensive, thorough, and up-to-date exploration of military families' unique culture and needs, exposes deep issues too often missed in the field, and presents philosophies and practices needed to effectively work with them. Counseling Military Families provides a much-needed bridge between the military and therapeutic worlds and makes healing more possible for everyone involved."
Edward Tick, PhD, director of Soldier's Heart, Inc., and author of War and the Soul and Warrior's Return
"I applaud Lynn Hall’s efforts to ensure that all therapists are well-prepared to serve military-connected families. She writes in an engaging, accessible style that will make it easy for readers to learn and understand her important messages."
Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, director of the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University
