Excavation in 1987 at the site of St Margaret Fyebriggate revealed much of the graveyard, which had been in use from the 12th to the 15th century. Remains of over 1000 individuals were removed from the cemetery. Of these, 436 were articulated individuals, the rest represented as charnel. This work deals with the palaeopathology of these burials.
