Degrees of Freedom: Prison Education at the Open University

The Open University has been delivering higher education in prisons since 1971. This book is the first to document and analyze the experience of prisoners whose lives have often been transformed by these efforts, gathering contributions from former and current prisoners across the UK and Ireland. 2019 marks the The Open University’s fiftieth anniversary and this book forms part of these celebrations.
