THERESA RICHARDSON is Assistant Professor in the Psychological and Social Foundations Department at the University of South Florida. She has recent publications in Paedagogica Historia and sits on the editorial board for the History of Education Quarterly.DONALD FISHER is Professor of Sociology of Education in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia, and Assistant Director of the Center for Policy Studies. He has numerous articles in Minerva, History of Education, Sociology Review and Sociology as well as chapters in books on boundary work in the development of the social sciences is Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
