Notă biografică
This book is Doris Wakefield's first published material. She has always been interesting in writing and would often read late into the night. She first started writing while she was in high school, and when her children were small decided to take a journalism course. Her belief in God's love and goodness is her strength and continues to influence her love of family and community. As a child growing up on the farm in Saskatchewan, she played with her dolls and dreamed of having a large family of her own someday. Doris was married to her teen age sweetheart, Charlie for 52 years and together raised a family of six children. Their family has grown to include the blessing of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris credits her greatest influences to her Mother, Dione, her Grandmother Cecelia and her Aunt Mary as well as her husband Charlie. Doris considers herself a learner, a dreamer and a doer. Her journey through life has seen her return to education as an adult to obtain her Diploma in Social Work. For many years she has been actively involved in community service and work with services for the disabled. Doris has recently returned to the community where she and Charlie raised their family and is enjoying her senior years.
