Descriere
East Asia is one of the world's most dynamic and diverse regions. In many ways it continues to become an increasingly coherent region through the inter-play of various integrative economic, political and socio-cultural processes. However, frictions and other forces such as globalisation are having an opposite effect. Fully updated and revised throughout while retaining the key pedagogical features of the first edition, this new edition explores the various inter-related pathways and pitfalls of East Asian regionalism, and presents a generally applicable analytical framework of regionalism based on the ‘coherence’ concept.
