Notă biografică
Barbara Ann Kipfer is a lexicographer, author, and archaeologist. Barbara holds doctorates in Archaeology, Linguistics, and Buddhist studies. She is the author of 14,000 things to be happy about (with 1.5 million copies in print) and 80 other books including thesauri, reference books, spiritually themed books, and list books. Her websites are referencewordsmith.com and thingstobehappyabout.com.
Dr. Kipfer holds an MPhil and PhD in Linguistics (University of Exeter), a PhD in Archaeology (Greenwich University), an MA and PhD in Buddhist Studies (Akamai University), and a BS in Physical Education (Valparaiso University).
Dr. Kipfer is Senior Lexicographer of Zeta Global and has worked for Google, Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com, Answers.com, Ask Jeeves, Bellcore/Telcordia, General Electric Research, IBM Research, idealab/Knowledge Adventure, The Chicago Tribune, and WolframAlpha. She is a Registered Professional Archaeologist. Before she was a lexicographer, she was a sportswriter and sports editor.
