This book is written in the form of a dissertation. It explores strategic management theory and the use of management tools for decision making in service sector SMEs. It is thought that owner managers of SMEs do not use strategic planning and often find themselves managing crisis. After identifying the prevalence of management tools by SME owner/managers the author establishes whether or not there is a difference in the tools used depending on gender.
