en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 aug 2018
Family and Community Health: A Developmental Approach gives students an in-depth look at public health issues within the context of individual development and family systems. It presents major health issues afflicting Americans, as outlined by Healthy People 2020. The text covers basic information about health conditions, how health conditions affect individuals across development, how health conditions affect families¿and communities, and existing prevention and intervention programs. The book explores health in the United States, and provides students with information regarding asthma, obesity, diabetes, autism, Alzheimer's disease, and cancer, as well as their causes and possible treatments. This text also discusses mental health, sleep health, anxiety and depressive disorder, substance abuse, and sexual and reproductive health. Each chapter ends with case studies for further examination. Family and Community Health is an excellent resource for public health courses, particularly those at the undergraduate level, and can also be used by students in the undergraduate studies of psychology and human development.
