Notă biografică

Amanda W. Harrist received her Ph.D. in Child Development at the University of Tennessee. She is currently Associate Director for Education and Translation at the Center for Family Resilience at Oklahoma State University, where she is also a Professor of Human Development and Family Science. Her research is focused on understanding psychosocial risk and protective processes in children’s social contexts, particularly the parent-child relationship and peer relations at school.
Whitney A. Bailey earned her Ph.D. in Family and Child Ecology from Michigan State University. Trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist with a focus on care families, Dr. Bailey dedicates her time to education, advocacy, and translation, having served in medical, human service, and political realms. Currently a faculty member at Oklahoma State University, she holds the Bryan Close Professorship in Adulthood & Aging and proudly serves the Cooperative Extension Network as Oklahoma’s Caregiving State Specialist. Dr. Bailey has lead multiple federal, state and foundation grants with an exclusive focus on understanding the ways care families experience the complex networks designed to serve them. Recognized numerous times for outstanding teaching and mentorship, Dr. Bailey is passionate about human services professionals’ readiness to serve an aging world.
