Nancy Tuana is professor of philosophy at the University of Oregon. She is the author of Woman and the History of Philosophy and The Less Noble Sex: Scientific, Religious, and Philosophical Conceptions of Woman's Nature, and editor of Feminism and Science and Feminist Interpretations of Plato. Rosemarie Putnam Tong is a Distinguished Professor of Health Care Ethics in the Department of Philosophy and Center for Professional Applied Ethics at the University of North Carolina.
