Functional Membranes for High Efficiency Molecule and Ion Transport

Editat de Jingtao Wang, Wenjia Wu
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 24 ian 2024
This book provides an overview of functional membranes for efficient ion/molecule transfer and separation. It first presents the design, fabrication, structure, and performance of several kinds of membranes. Then, the application of membrane technology in organic solvent nanofiltration, hydrogen fuel cells, and solid-state lithium batteries is introduced. Furthermore, the book proposes strategies of strengthening the ion/molecular-level separation and transfer process in membrane processes. It also analyzes the development status, existing problems, and optimization methods in the field of membranes and membrane processes. Finally, it highlights the construction strategy of membrane structures, the structure–performance relationships as well as the transfer and separation mechanisms. The target group of this book is academics and researchers in materials science, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, and other related fields.

Notă biografică

Jingtao Wang obtained his doctorate from Tianjin University in 2012. Then, he has worked at School of Chemical Engineering, Zhengzhou University, since 2012. His current interests include: the development of high-performance conductive membrane materials and research of their structure-performance relationship for improvement of the performance and life of hydrogen fuel cells and solid-state lithium batteries.
Wenjia Wu received his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from Zhengzhou University. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Lingbo Qu in Department of Chemistry at Zhengzhou University in 2019-2021. He was a Visiting Scholar in Mark Wiesner group at Duke University. Currently, he works at the School of Chemical Engineering in Zhengzhou University, and his research interests include proton exchange membranes for hydrogen fuel cell and solid state electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium battery.
