Recenzii
"This extensive book introduces general concepts and principles rales of Geology and Geomorphology, and illustrates, with examples from the United States, how its application allows us mite rebuild history geological and the evolution of landscape of a region. As notes its author, Joseph A. DiPietro, the purpose of the work is not tell the story geological and describe the geomorphology of the country, but rather bring to the reader how can we interpret them from available evidence and using the concepts necessary. The Professor has carried out numerous geological mapping works in his country, and has devoted a good part of his research contributions to the study of the structure of the Himalayas in Pakistan. The book is an expanded review of the publication of 2013, Landscape Evolution in the United States: An Introduction to the Geography, Geology and Natural History. The new title seems to give the idea of what it is about of a textbook that could serve as a reference basic for students of Geology and Geomorphology of any country. However, as reflected in the title above, the work is aimed mainly at people interested in knowing the geomorphology of states States (excluding Alaska) and its geological determinant gicos." --OTRAS Publication
