In an old inn, on the banks of the Maumee river, resides a ghost, or so the villagers of Waterville believe. Many have seen glimpses of a dark-beared man in the upstairs windows but no one has ever encountered him for real. Kierra and her sister, Madison need jobs, and their search brings them through a small town, where they stop at a quaint inn for lunch. The owners are an odd British couple who serve only one item daily, and the innkeeper, Lottie is especially excited when Kierra is awed by the history and faded beauty of the inn.
