1961 Recipient of the Fulbright US Government scholarship; completed master degree for the secondary school administration at the University of Maryland graduate school
Continued a two-year research based after obtaining a master's degree in the advanced school administration
Worked for 26 years as a marketing consultant for Japan Airlines
1997 Former director of the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawaii
1998 Current director of Seacology (California)
1999 Established the Kishimoto Family International Company (Washington), President and CEO
2003 Current director of the Institute for EthnoMedicine (Wyoming)
2007 Established the Kishimoto Family Foundation (Washington), Founder
Translated "Nafanua" into Japanese. The book is a Goldman Environmental Prize winner, and selected as a "Recommended Book" by Japan National Library Association
All proceeds from the translation donated to charity
