Recenzii
Overall the volume presents a comprehensive picture of the current state of East Asian education systems. Additionally, this work provides some very illuminating excerpts on issues related to globalization and education reform within the context of national efforts to train and socialize populations for economic and political development.
Education students, executives with multinational corporations and NGOs, and interested adult readers are the audience for this survey of the education systems of the world.
"Ultimately, these books should find useful homes in high school and college libraries; as components of international and comparative education courses (at the undergraduate and even graduate levels); as a reference for instructors of introductory-level Asian survey courses; and as additions to personal libraries of academicians who wish to understand better the diverse means, modes, and mechanisms of education across the countries and territories of East, South, and Southeast Asia."Reviews with Going to School in South Asia
