Recenzii
From the reviews:
“This book summarizes the most important results involving graph energy. It is addressed to researchers in areas such as spectral graph theory, combinatorics and linear algebra, as well as mathematical chemistry. … This is a nice book that will be useful for researchers working in this area and for those wanting to learn more about graph energy.” (Sebastian M. Cioabă, Mathematical Reviews, April, 2013)
“The book under review provides a thorough introduction to the (mathematical side of the) subject and an almost complete overview of the state of the art in the area. … this is a well written interesting and (currently) complete book on the (mathematical) theory of graph energy. It will be useful both as a reference work for researchers in the area of graph energy as well as an introduction to the topic for anyone interested.” (Stefaan De Winter, Zentralblatt MATH, Vol. 1262, 2013)

Textul de pe ultima copertă
This book is about graph energy. The authors have included many of the important results on graph energy, such as the complete solution to the conjecture on maximal energy of unicyclic graphs, the Wagner-Heuberger’s result on the energy of trees, the energy of random graphs or the approach to energy using singular values. It contains an extensive coverage of recent results and a gradual development of topics and the inclusion of complete proofs from most of the important recent results in the area. The latter fact makes it a valuable reference for researchers looking to get into the field of graph energy, further stimulating it with occasional inclusion of open problems. The book provides a comprehensive survey of all results and common proof methods obtained in this field with an extensive reference section. The book is aimed mainly towards mathematicians, both researchers and doctoral students, with interest in the field of mathematical chemistry.
Caracteristici
One of the first books on this topic Graph energy is a topic within Spectral Graph Theory and (more generally) Discrete Mathematics Graph energy is also of interest to chemists
