I was intrigued about this book, after I finished reading Lux, but I was afraid to not be disappointed. Luckily, I started reading and I couldn’t stop. This story is amazing!! There are no words describing it how good it is. It is something similar and combined, to Lux and maybe Vampire Academy, but the post perfectly written story! The accent that Jennifer L. Armentrout has put on this stories, with Greek Mythology/Gods and such, it puts a great spin on it. The story was fresh and entertaining and never bored me one minute. I loved the characters, I loved how everything just fit together. Alexandria- or Alex, as she loves to be called, is one fine character. She is full of courage, she is a fighter, always with witty comments, and she just throws herself out there. She is a kick ass heroine, who protects and it’s there for the people she loves. Because of her comments and maybe attitude, sometimes she gets into trouble, she has a temper. Alex is just perfect! Caleb is her best friend, her shoulder to cry on and the only person she really trusts. He has always been there, and will continue to be when she mostly needs him. Caleb has a tendency to protect Alex; because he understands her. Even if sometimes he is danger because of her, Caleb will stay by her side. And there is Aiden St Delphi. Wow! That’s a first thing to say. I loved him more than Daemon, I have to be honest. Even if Aiden keeps his feelings hidden, you can sense something between the lines, and he really helps Alex through her problems. Aiden loves Alex, but he is a pure, and Alex is a half-blood, this two cannot be together. Even if feelings are there, Aiden tries to hide them, because he has to train Alex so she can catch up and be in line with all the classes, before summer ends. He trains her, he helps her deal with all the personal problems and he stays near her all the time. He is the kind of guy who makes you week in the knees. I highly recommend this book! It was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t stop reading! This stories are an addiction, because Jennifer L. Armentrout is the finest writer! This was such an incredible start to the series because the worlds she creates, are incredible and you automatically just fall in love with her characters. This turned out to be my favorite stories! Five starts, without a doubt!

There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is.
If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.
