Recenzii
the book is of high academic standard and it shows in-depth analysis in its area of concentration. It deals with the issues directly linked to relations between Asia and Latin America in a profound way. In addition, the volume uses an innovative approach as it focuses not only on the bilateral state-centric level of the links between both regions, but also explores the interests, objectives, and actions of internal actors in China, giving a greater level of depth to the study. Last, but certainly not least, this study not only includes China's economic relations with Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa, but also makes a comparison between the two cases.
Review from previous edition "this book succeeds admirably in delineating the nature of China's impact on SSA and LAC, the vital role that countries in these regions play in crafting their own policies, and provides clarity with evidenced-based research as to the role and variety of Chinese economic actors' activities in both regions."
