Textul de pe ultima copertă
This book reviews the recent advances in understanding the pathophysiology and the fundamental diagnostic, clinical, and therapeutic aspects of arterial hypertension. It collates and updates the knowledge in this area and focuses on how to approach a patient with hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
There is an overall emphasis on the deleterious consequences that hypertension has on the cardiovascular system, since hypertension often coexists with heart disease, arrhythmia and dyslipidemia, further increasing total cardiovascular risk. Each chapter adopts a concise approach to its topic and can therefore also be read as a standalone article.
Caracteristici
Focuses on the clinical consequences that uncontrolled high blood levels have on the cardiovascular system and the progression of hypertensive heart disease Examines the mechanisms of hypertension, as well as the signal transduction pathways involved in this process Integrates basic medical science knowledge and its clinical application Illustrates the key signaling pathways involved in the pathogenesis of disease in colored figures for better understanding
