Public țintă
The primary audience for this book is the multitude of people who work in or are associated with ICU s. Radiologists, intensivists, hospitalists, emergency room physicians, residents, medical students, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, and nurses all need to review X–rays and all have specific important roles in the care of ICU patients and they all look at the film with a somewhat different view, but all need the information that is conveyed on a film. Since there are 7500 hospitals in the United States and the average number of personnel in these ICU s relating to each patient is 7–10, a potential audience for this book is approximately 100,000. In addition, there is a large additional potential audience for this book in the personnel who work in step down units and emergency rooms and see critically ill patients. They also need to have this type of expertise in evaluating the portable films taken on their very sick patients.Notă biografică

Descriere
Here is the first book in decades devoted specifically to ICU radiology, from an expert author in a major US clinical setting. It covers common, everyday problems seen in each ICU, including pneumonias, heart failure, and barotraumas, along with common technical problems that lead to interpretation errors and inappropriate interventions.
