Ghazwan Yaghi (Ph.D.) is a former curator of cultural heritage and lecturer at the University of Damascus and a senior researcher at Leiden University in the Netherlands. His latest book is Mamluk Palaces and Houses in Cairo: An Archaeological and Civilizational Study (Brill 2021).
