Notă biografică
ERNEST HEMINGWAY (1899-1961) was born in Illinois, but lived in locations worldwide. Hemingway's writing is based on his travels and life experiences with war, love, and outdoor sport. Plagued with declining mental health, he committed suicide by shotgun. A prolific author, he is most noted for The Old Man and the Sea (1952) which won the Pulitzer Prize.
