Rick grew up in the small town of Warrenville, Ill. in the 1950s. Every day of Rick's childhood was an adventure and a lesson in survival. His innocent escapades illustrate the freedom, joy and frustration of a rapidly changing small town America. His grandfathers passed down traditional survival skills that Rick would carry with him throughout his lifetime.
