Interaction-induced Electric Properties of van der Waals Complexes: SpringerBriefs in Molecular Science

Autor Victor N. Cherepanov, Yulia N. Kalugina, Mikhail A. Buldakov
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 28 noi 2016
This brief explains the theory of the interaction-induced electrical properties of van der Waals complexes. It focuses on the interaction-induced electrical dipole moments, polarizabilities and first hyperpolarizabilities of atom-atomic, atom-molecular and molecular-molecular van der Waals complexes.

Notă biografică

Victor N. Cherepanov is currently a full professor and a head of the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy at the Tomsk State University, Russia. His current research focuses on physics and spectroscopy of atoms, molecules, and clusters. Prof. Cherepanov has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and coauthored several book chapters and textbooks. He is also a member of Editorial Board of the Journal of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering.

Yulia N. Kalugina is working at the Tomsk State University (Russia), after defending her PhD in Chemical Physics at the Université de Bourgogne (Dijon, France) in 2010. She was also a visiting researcher at the University of New Brunswick (Canada) and at the University of Le Havre (France). Her research focuses on the investigation of atomic and molecular complexes, quantum chemical studies of molecules in a gas phase and atomic and molecular collisions. Dr. Kalugina is the author of more than 40 scientific articles.

Mikhail A. Buldakov† was a researcher at the Tomsk State University and in the Institute of Monitoring of Climatic and Ecological Systems of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. His research interests were in the field of physics and spectroscopy of molecules. He authored and contributed to a multiple scientific articles and three book chapters.
