Notă biografică
Vince Geiger is Professor and Research Program Director of the STEM in Education Research Program in the Institute of Learning Science and Teacher Education at Australian Catholic University. His work is focused on the enabling role of mathematics within the STEM disciplines — driven by an awareness that knowing and using mathematics confidently is key for career prospects and the empowerment of an informed citizenry.
Gabriele Kaiser holds a senior professorship at the University of Hamburg, Germany, she is honorary professor at the Australian Catholic University, and the Educational University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses mathematical modelling education, mathematics teacher education and teacher professional development, international comparative studies. She is editor-in-chief of ZDM – Mathematics Education.
Toshikazu Ikeda is a professor of Mathematics Education at the College of Education, Yokohama National University, Japan. He has dedicated his studies to exploring effective methods of teaching mathematical modelling and was honored with the Japan Society of Mathematics Education award in 2017. Additionally, he served on the International Executive Committee of ICTMA from 2005 to 2017, resuming this role in 2022.
Akihiko Saeki holds a professor at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Japan, and is honorary professor at Naruto University of Education, Japan. He has continued to study about mathematical modelling and applications in school and teacher education. He obtained the Award for Educational Practice from the Japanese Society for Science Education in 2006. He was one of the members of the International Executive Committee of ICTMA from 2019 to 2021.
