Notă biografică
Suzi Zimmerman was the youngest of three children and, admittedly, a bit of a troublemaker. Her siblings were good at sports and music, but she seemed to be flailing. She knew she was creative and loved to perform, but her community focused mainly on sports and music. Those who lacked a place tended to become bored, which led to unacceptable behavior. She finally discovered theatre, but only because it was offered at the high school level. It was then that she vowed to fight for more accessible performance opportunities for all levels. After college, she founded a local theatre troupe, which eventually became a community theatre, fulfilling her dream of bringing performance opportunities to all. Suzi has taught for over twenty years in public education, and is also a writer, artist, and businessperson.Zimmerman has acted professionally in film and on the stage. She is the spokesperson for and director of New Hope Foundation, a nonprofit in northern Texas working to improve the lives of underprivileged families. She is married with five children, two of whom are successful in the film industry.
