Autor GJ Pert
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 25 apr 2013
This textbook presents essential methodology for physicists of the theory and applications of fluid mechanics within a single volume. Building steadily through a syllabus, it will be relevant to almost all undergraduate physics degrees which include an option on hydrodynamics, or a course in which hydrodynamics figures prominently.

Public țintă

The book will be aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate physics students in areas requiring a working knowledge of fluid mechanics. For example, at Oxford University, fluid dynamics is the major component of a 3rd year course that is mandatory for all 4–year MPhys students and taken by the majority of 3 year BSc students (at least 150 students per year).

The book will also be relevant to astrophysicists, plasma physicists and computational fluid dynamicists. In addition, applied mathematicians specializing in fluid mechanics as well as chemical, civil and mechanical engineers will be interested in the approach the author takes to this topic.
