Notă biografică

Reji Kumar Pillai has been the President of India Smart Grid Forum since its inception in 2011 and Chairman of the Global Smart Grid Federation, a global umbrella organization of smart grid associations from 16 countries and the European Union, since November 2016. With over three decades of experience, he is spearheading a mission to leverage technology to transform the electric grid in India and light every home at an affordable cost through sustainable developmental models.

Girish Ghatikar is a seasoned smart grid, demand response, and clean energy technology innovator. Before joining Greenlots, he led research on enabling technologies and open standards for grid integration at the US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), where he also established the Demand to Grid (D2G) Lab.

Vijay L Sonavane was a member of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) prior to his retirement in 2014.He is currently a member of the committee set up by Government of India to prepare regulations for smart grids, as well as the Mentor for the MAHA-Smart Grid Coordination Committee, set up by MERC for the development of smart grid projects in Maharashtra. He has over 33 years of experience in MSEB/MSEDCL.

SA Khaparde is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He co-authored the book Computational methods for large sparse power systems analysis: An object oriented approach” published by Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2001. He is a member of advisory committees to the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Indian Energy Exchange.
Pradeep Kumar Yemula is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad. His research interests are in the areas of smart grids, power system control centers, information technology architectures, ontologies for power system events, common information models (cim), interoperability and standards.

Ravi Seethapathy’s career in electric utilities/power systems spans more than 35 years, and he now sits on the boards of the Power Transmission & Distribution (IC) Division of Larsen & Toubro, India; Biosirus Inc., Canada, where is the founder/Executive Chair; Smart Grid Canada, and the India Smart Grid Forum. His current international activities include (1) “Ambassador for the Americas,” Global Smart Grid Forum; (2) CIGRE Convener WGC6.28-Remote Grids; (3) IEA PVPS Taskforce 14 – Large Scale Solar Integration; (4) IEC TC 120 – Energy Storage; (5) IEC SEG4-LVDC; and (6) Chair, India Smart Grid Forum WG 5-RE & Micro-grids. 

Samir Chaudhuri has over 37 years of experience in national reputed organizations, namely as Scientific Officer at the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India; Senior Executive at the National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd; Head of InformationTechnology at the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. He is currently a member of the committee of experts the ODL course on smart cities at IGNOU.
