Jambos With James
Autor Mary T Heffron Debrueys, James Clifton Debrueysen Limba Engleză Paperback – 29 oct 2020
In this unusual memoir, Mary T's recollections and correspondence from friends paint a colorful picture of James, a hilarious, sweet-natured twenty-two-year-old determined to do good in the world. He is on a volunteer mission to teach impoverished children in the Marshall Islands when his boat goes missing. But readers will get to know James personally from the letters he writes home; witty, loving, observant, and kind, they paint a portrait of an exceptional young man on the cusp of adulthood, with plans to make a difference.
A story of unimaginable loss and the path to finding grace, Jambos with James will speak eloquently to others who have lost children and to young people who have lost friends and/or siblings, showing the hope and even joy that comes from living through and accepting such a tragedy....

Notă biografică
Mary T Heffron deBrueys was born in Victoria, Texas, lived in Charleston, West Virginia briefly, and attended school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at St. Aloysius, St. Joseph's Academy, and LSU. She got her master's degree at the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans and became a Language-Learning Specialist with a passion for working with students of all ages in the area of communication - verbal and written - with emphasis on academics and study skills. As a young child, Mary T had a recurring dream of a wise, talking pancake who lived on the stairs of her family's basement in their Charleston, West Virginia home. When she married and raised 5 children with her husband, Jim, she shared the adventures of her talking pancake with her children as bedtime stories. They were passed down by her and by her children to their children. In honor of this now beloved character, Mary T's six grandchildren contributed their art over the years as they envisioned a talking pancake would look! These drawings from the oldest to the youngest of the grandkids began as long ago as 2012 and are included here in Chapter 7. Use your imagination and enjoy Jam Cake's adventures! Mary T is also co-author of 125 Ways to be a Better Student (Linguisystems) and author of Jambos With James (Friesen Press).
