Notă biografică

JULIE GILSON is Lecturer in Japanese Studies and Deputy Director of Asian Studies at the University of Birmingham. In 1993 she graduated from Sheffield University with a master's degree in international relations and subsequently spent three years as a research scholar at Keio, then Waseda Universities in Tokyo. During that time she completed a PhD on Japan's relations with the European Union, also for Sheffield University.
