Recenzii
a work full of good theology, engaged with the rich tradition of Chrisitan thought about a central set of convictions and taking seriously contemporary difficultits. It is the work of an experienced teacher, a man of strong convictions, clearly articulated and storngly defended. Its discussion is superbly and evocatively illuminated by reference to literature, music and ar. O'Collins is a gifted and lucid writer. This book has enormous amount to commend it.
O'Collins considers the biblical, theological and historical evidence for the various perspectives on the atonement but also looks at the way various themes have been depicted in Christian art and iconography, which is fascinating...this is a challengingand stimulating volume.
This book tells the story of salvation not with arid words but in images and verse that will delight the reader and nourish the soul.
