Last Love

Set in contemporary Gaston County, North Carolina, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Elsie Erwin has just buried her beloved mother and has only her friend, Bertha, to keep her company. The two women set out on a road trip that leads them to new adventures. But it is a chance encounter back in their hometown of Gastonia where Elsie finds that sometimes life holds its greatest promise-and surprises-to the very end.
