A young journalist seeking a quieter life away from the city with his new wife and young child moves to his parents' hometown. It's a complicated return - his wife hates his parents - and they are living in an Arab village in Israel. Everything seems smaller, the people petty and provincial and the villagers divided between sympathy for the Palestinians and dependence on the Israelis.
