LIFE AS ART
Autor Gail Morningstaren Limba Engleză Paperback – 7 oct 2020
After retirement, I wanted to take pictures of the hangings and stumbled upon an app called Photo Booth. I began working with abstract visuals and quotes gathered from people who have suffered, surrendered, faced their 'shadow' and learned from it. They are lovely and hang all over my house. I had them self-published in a book entitled Life as Art. It was very expensive to print.
The Mulberry Press is a black and white printing company who were interested in the content of the book. I agreed to have them print it in black and white as a coloring book, and here we are.
Enjoy the interactive component and I look forward to any feedback you wish to share.

Notă biografică
We grew up in a low-income household, but as my Mom would say, "We aren't poor, we just don't have any money". My parents were in their mid-forties when I was born, number four of 5 children. Dad was ill as far back as I can remember. Mom was the neighborhood fortune teller. She taught me to keep my own counsel. Her card reading was a form of counseling for my friends. I read Mythic Tarot cards for friends and family and occasionally for clients who are stuck. Thanks, Mom. I love you. Synchronicity and intuition would be my friends throughout my life. I have social anxiety, so books were always part of my self-knowledge and escape. I was not expected to amount to much. Of course, I worked at the university library in collection development with Dr. Hoover. In the stacks were joy and increased knowledge. I have a vast collection of books from novels to philosophy, psi-fi, and the list goes on. I married and was a stay-at-home Mom to two beautiful brilliant children. My former husband and I divorced, so I went to University and love the life of learning. I am a master weaver so thought Art Therapy, a new field of study at the time, would be a natural fit. Undergrad took me through general education in Social Sciences. My enjoyment of Social Psychology, Consciousness, Existential Philosophy, Physics Death and Dying (my parents had both died by then); lead to post-grad studies in Thanatology and Palliative Care and a Master Social Worker career. I have worked in such fields as homeless shelters, pilot projects for palliative care., Family and Schools Together (FAST) program etc. Mental health is pervasive in all the work I have done. I am now a knowledge broker developing courses to help serve those who want to learn more about how to help others and yourself if you are so inclined.
