Notă biografică
Samantha Kendall aka "Sam...The Lasagna Lady", is the owner of the Award Winning (CBS) and Best Comfort Food (3rd Annual Pastoral Artisan Produce Festival) Sam's Gourmet Lasagna. Sam shares her pain and humor. Amanda "Skie" Gallon, Sam's daughter, would run and hide when she cooked for her at 2 years old. Although Amanda's favorite was bacon and white rice, she loved Sam's lasagna. Amanda's siblings were in disbelief of a horrible tragedy. Shortly after Sam's ex-husband left her and the children, her daughter Amanda was murdered on Valentine's Day 2006. Finding the strength to move forward after this heartbreak and tragedy unfolded her life with lasagna. Before she died, Amanda told her mother Samantha, "Do You Ma". Sam knew that meant to move forward with her lasagna. Placing a pan of baked lasagna on the table for her children to eat healthier and enjoy is part of what built their strong foundation of resilience and faith giving Sam the vision to start her own business. Sam's story is bundled with hope to boost everyone to soar in the face of tragedy and heartbreak to finding their passion. Looking past current conditions allows anyone to look through different eyes; Sam was blessed with lasagna. Have you ever wondered how a nation gets fed infinitely; by helping others to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit past their pain. This is the inspired pulse that God called me to write Life Through Lasagna Eyes: The Recipes for Life. In memory of Amanda Skie Gallon, Sam dedicates this book to victims of violence, their families and the many lives that are touched by such acts. She hopes this book will encourage anyone that has experienced loss or heartbreak to live beyond their highest pain. "Parents, if your children run when you cook, run with them!" Samantha Kendall.
