Roxana-Maria Gorgos a dat nota:
Vishous is the son of the Bloodletter; the most vile, gruesome, violent vampire in history. Having grown up in the horrifying world of his father, Vishous is scarred for life. In addition to the vast amounts of abuse and pain that Vishous has endured, he is also the carrier of a power that he considers to be a curse. One of his hands is deadly to anyone it touches. He must always keep it gloved and hidden. To make matters even worse...he can see the future...and what he sees is death. When he is severely injured in a battle with the Lessening Society, he is transported to a human hospital. His surgeon is Jane Whitcomb. Jane matches Vishous in many ways, like no other ever has, and compels him to reveal his pain. They are more alike than they think, and instantly have a connection both can't ignore. They take a chance for a slice of happiness together. But will destiny get in the way? Are they even meant to be? The relationship between V and Jane was unrealistic in my opinion. I felt like it was unnecessarily rushed, and i couldn't pinpoint why or when Jane fell for V as all she was about in the beginning was wanting to find out about his race. The writing style of the book was stunning and exceptionally brilliant, just like all the previous books in the series. J.R Ward has a unique way of telling a story that no other author has. She makes you visualize things easily without going into too much boring description. And i love it!
