Picture it: you're walking through a muggy forest in Peru. You take a seat on a mossy tree stump and look up into blue sky, half hidden by thick green leaves above you. People are dying in the depths of the Peruvian rainforest. Marcus Tolson, entomologist extraordinaire, is called in to save the day. He travels, across the ocean from New York, with his team of experts. They're ready for anything. There's nothing they haven't seen before, and they've come fully prepared to catch and capture whatever it is that is taking innocent lives.

But when a member of Tolson's team ends up missing, the group begins to realize they're dealing with something bigger and meaner than anything they've seen before.
