Ole Holsti is the George V. Allen Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Duke University. He is the author most recently of Public Opinion and American Foreign Policy (1996) and is a co-editor of The Encyclopedia of U.S. Foreign Relations(OUP). He is a past president of the International Studies Association (1979-80).
