Narsapur Municipality was formed as a third grade municipality in the year 26/9/1956. Narsapur town is located on the bank of the placid waters of the river Vasista Godavari. The Narsapur town which is bounded by Krishna and East Godavari Districts and the Bay of Bengal. Narsapur Municipality area is about 11.32 sq.km.
