Notă biografică

Professor Lüscher studied medicine at the University of Zurich and obtained the Swiss Board in internal medicine and cardiology, then trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA. In 1993-1996 he was Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of Basel, then trained in interventional cardiology at the University of Bern to become Professor of Cardiology in 1996, before nominated as as Professor of Cardiology and Director of the University Heart Center andof the Center for Molecular Cardiology at the University of Zurich. He is now Director of Research, Education & Development and Con-sulting Cardiologist at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals and Professor of Cardiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College and at Kings Collegein London. Professor Lüscher is an active general and interventional cardiologist with a broad clinical scope and large experience in prevention, coronary and valvular heart disease, percutaneous interventions and heart failure.
