Both young people lived in the Holy Land of Israel, under the dreaded Roman yoke of Caesar's time. Galilee and Judea, provinces of Israel, were being stirred up by the spirit of almighty God, and something tremendous was about to happen Mary was determined to be a part of the miracle.
