Recenzii
With its useful supporting material and annotations, as well as the original text, this volume presents an interesting-and quite entertaining-text very well. It is certainly scholarly-thorough, but is also readily accessible to interested readers.
[The Hsu-Tang Library] will open up a classical tradition that spans millennia, relatively little of which has ever been translated into English. There is a humanity and irreverence to some of these works that readers expecting stuffy, prim Confucian moralizing will find refreshing.
This is a must-have for scholars of Daoism and is also recommended for those interested in pre-modern East Asian religions in general.
