Notă biografică
Chuan-zheng Yang graduated from Shanghai University of Science and Technology in 1963, majoring in metal physics. From 1963 to 1988, he was engaged in the research of material physics and applications of X-ray diffraction and electron microscope at Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy, CAS. He worked as a full professor at the Department of Physics, Shanghai University, from 1993 to 1999.
Yuwan Lou obtained doctorate from Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2007. She has been engaged in the research of chemical power supply and related materials since 1993 and has participated in more than 20 projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level. She has also published more than 30 articles in peer-review journals and has 20 patents.
Jian Zhang works as an associate professor at Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, CAS. His current interests are lithium-ion battery and its related materials. He has participated in more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects and presided over 6 projects. He has also published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and applied for more than 10 patents.
Xiaohua Xie received doctorate from Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, CAS, in 2008. Then, she works as an associate researcher at Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, CAS. Her research focuses on lithium-ion battery and related materials. She has participated in more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects and presided over 5 projects. More than 30 papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and 13 invention patents have been applied for, of which 4 have been authorized. Baojia Xia received doctorate from the Department of Applied Chemistry, Harbin Institute of Technology, in 1999; then he worked as apostdoctoral fellow at Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, CAS. He is now the member of China Alkaline Battery Standardization Committee and Electrochemistry Committee, the director of Chemical and Physical Power Association, and the director of solid State Ion Society.

Textul de pe ultima copertă
This book provides a description of material characterization and mechanisms of secondary batteries during discharge, cycle, and storage process. It also proposes a new intercalation/de-intercalation theory and presents the mechanism of ionic conduction. In addition, through the comparative study of variation laws of battery performance and of fine structure and microstructure parameters, the mechanism of cycle and storage processes and battery performance decay are investigated. Given its scope, the book appeals to a broad readership, particularly professionals at universities and scientific research institutes.
