Metal Magnetic Memory Technique and Its Applications in Remanufacturing

Autor Haihong Huang, Zhengchun Qian, Zhifeng Liu
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 11 mai 2022
This book introduces the metal magnetic memory (MMM) technique, one of the nondestructive testing methods, and its applications in remanufacturing engineering. It discusses the advantages of MMM and how to evaluate the early damage degree of remanufacturing cores, as well as the repairing quality of remanufactured components. Various MMM signal characteristics are extracted to reflect the damage degree of remanufacturing cores, coatings and interfaces. All the theoretical models, analysis methods and testing results of MMM in this book provide guidance to control the quality of remanufactured parts and products. This book can help readers make the best use of the MMM technique in remanufacturing engineering.

Notă biografică

Haihong Huang is currently a Professor with the School of Mechanical Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, China. He has long focused on the metal magnetic memory (MMM) technique and remanufacturing repair technology. He developed the magnetic dipole model to analyze the generation mechanism of MMM signals and established the quantitative relationship between early damage degree and MMM signal characteristics. He also innovatively introduced the external excitation magnetic field to strengthen the MMM signals. He put forward the heat/force/magnetism coupling model to handle the remanufacturing core damage evaluation under the high temperature environment. Furthermore, he proposed a cohesive zone-magnetomechanical model to describe the coating interface damage process, which can accurately predict the interface crack initiation based on MMM signals. He has received the Excellent Young Scientists Fund by NSFC, and been selected as the New Century Excellent Talents by Ministry of Education, and the Research Affiliate by CIRP.

Zhengchun Qian is currently an assistant professor with Nanjing Institute of Technology. He received his PhD degree from Hefei University of Technology in 2019. His research fields include the metal magnetic memory nondestructive testing and remanufacturing repair quality evaluation. He focused on the damage degree assessment for remanufacturing coating interface by using various magnetic nondestructive testing methods.

Zhifeng Liu is currently the vice president of Hefei University of Technology, and a professor with the School of Mechanical Engineering. His research fields include green manufacturing and remanufacturing. He has successively hosted and participated in several national level research projects, including the National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program) and the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He authored 8 books, published over 150 academic papers, and received national scientific and technological progress second prize.
