Roland Allen was an Anglican missionary who served for many years in China and Africa. He is best known for his radical and insightful writings on helping indigenous churches flourish and grow. "MISSIONARY METHODS" was Allen's groundbreaking work which looked at some of the inadequacies of missions in the early 1900's, with an aim to remedy them. In order to do so he contrasted modern methods with those used by St. Paul, especially in regards to: - Finances - Evangelism and Church Planting - Church Discipline - Church Government, and much more. Though written over 100 years ago, Allen's keen insights still speak to many of the practical issues faced in missions and church planting movements today.
